Love is the most beautiful emotion of all. However, as incredible as it is to be open to others, the most important question in the world is: how do you start loving yourself?

When you have a hard time caring for yourself, nothing else in your life can be right. You don’t have any self-confidence, you don’t feel any security, and in the end, you don’t live a happy life.

Everybody talks about it. Wherever you look, you read and hear things that remind you of the importance of self-love.

So you are fully aware that you have to start giving yourself more love. However, no one is really telling you how to start loving yourself.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on your journey to self-love and the answer to the question of how to love yourself more.

  • Forget about being a perfectionist

The main reason most people don’t really like themselves is because they are perfectionists.

Do not mistake yourself; trying to improve yourself and putting effort into your personal development and personal growth is admirable.

However, the truth is, you can never become perfect, no matter how hard you try, stop expecting to be the best at whatever you do.

In fact, there is no such thing as being perfect. You are just a human being made of flesh and blood, just like any other person in this world.

We all have our faults and there is no point in emphasizing each of them.

After all, what is perfection? Do you or anyone else in this world have the same view of perfection? I bet not.

The point is, you have to stop wasting your precious energy trying to achieve something that is unattainable. Take it easy and don’t try to go on a wild goose hunt.

Instead of focusing on bad choices, focus on everything you’ve done right. Stop looking for your own flaws and start looking at yourself as someone who deserves everyone’s admiration.

  • Self-acceptance

When you are trying to figure out how to start to love yourself or love yourself more, you must first accept your true self. First and foremost, start by knowing who you really are.

What parts of you do you really consider your own? What traits do others impose on you that you never accepted? Who are you ? do you Who want to be? How do you see yourself?

Are you the person you wanted to be all your life? More importantly, what kind of person would you like to be if it all depended on you?

Well guess what? It all really depends on you. In fact, you are the only person who has to come to terms with all of your good and bad qualities.

Practicing self-love is all about self-acceptance. He doesn’t deny any part of your personality.

You know why you don’t laugh openly just because your partner doesn’t like it? How did you stop wearing that colorful shirt just because your family thought it wasn’t appropriate?

Stop pretending to be someone you’re not. Dig deep into yourself and remember the girl or boy you used to be. Love your imperfections as well as perfections. Do you know why?

Because they are all one amazing person – YOU.

Remember: you are one of a kind. In a million years, there won’t be anyone like you, so what’s not to love about this uniqueness?

  • Forget about society’s validation

Now that you’ve done the hard part, it’s time to stop comparing yourself to others. Guess what? You will never be liked by everyone around you, so you might as well stop trying.

If your parents don’t see you well enough, they will never appreciate you or see your worth, no matter how hard you try to change your mind.

On the other hand, you might be the best possible person for them, but maybe your partner has expectations that you don’t seem to be meeting.

At the end of the day, no matter what you do, there will always be someone who tells you that you need to do things differently.

The truth is, you can spend your whole life worrying about the opinions of others, but even then you won’t change them and you won’t succeed in making everyone like you.

The first thing to do if you plan to forget about the unrealistic expectations of society is to get rid of all your social media accounts.

If that is not possible, at least understand that almost everything on Facebook and Instagram is wrong.
